Figures of courtiers, dancers, servants and acrobats were placed in tombs of import people to accompany them in the afterlife. This elegant entertainer in a flowing robe with long sleeves, an elaborate hairstyle and impressive footwear still bears faint traces of pigments and even a fingerprint above the forehead: a mark of it's maker impressed in the clay over a millennium ago.
