Ali Lagrouni is a Moroccan artist and musician. He started exhibiting his paintings in the French-speaking region of Switzerland and continued to exhibit throughout the 90s and early 2000s across Switzerland, France and Morocco. He showcased at Art Basel, Royal Academy of Arts in London in 2004 and won the 25th Eric de Rome.

Lagrouni’s paintings often include dreamy cityscapes and architecture and Chagall-style figures. He often returns to the subject of cultural identity as a foreigner and remains inspired by jazz music.
